The VW ID Space Vizzion, Volkswagen's new electric vehicle, turned everybody’s head when it was first unveiled in November, during the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Volkswagen introduced it to the public by saying that it combined features of a crossover and a wagon family car. It was the only vehicle of this type at the event, and did not stayed unnoticed.
The Space Vizzion ID has some features that stand out! First, its doors don’t have any handles! These are replaced by touch-sensitive light-emitting diodes. You only have to touch them so that the doors open!
It also has a completely futuristic honeycomb-like front bumper. According to the manufacturer, this bumper makes it possible to direct the air towards the sides and the top of the vehicle, so that the aerodynamics help increase the autonomy of the vehicle, which is estimated at 480 km according to North American standards.
Its engines, placed on the front and rear axles and powered by a battery of 82 kW / h, will allow the ID Space Vizzion to cross the 0-100 km / h in 5.4 seconds.
Its refined and equally futuristic interior will be equipped with a 15.6-inch center screen, making it one of the largest in the industry. Another particularity: the seats are not made of leather, but of a brand-new material called AppleSkin, which is an artificial "leather" made from residual materials from the production of apple juice! Yes, yes, you read well!
The interior of the Space Vizzion ID is very spacious and compares favorably with larger sedans, since all its electrical components and battery are hidden in the floor.
According to VW, the version presented gives a good representation of the version that will be produced in series and launched at the end of 2021 in North America, Europe and China.
